Evolved Packet Core


The ON-EPC is your most cost effective Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solution, controls all of the components of a 4G network including base stations and the user devices they communicate with.

The ON-EPC is based on the 3GPP Rel.13 standard, scalable from less than 50 subscribers to over 100,000 subscribers

The flexibility of the ON-EPC and the scalability of the software architecture allows that you can begin with a low cost, flexible capacity EPC, and add subscribers and features for meet your growing business needs

The main objective of the ON-EPC is to provides means for traffic service of end-to-end IP connectivity over the LTE. To this aim, it supports for the interconnection of multiple UEs to the Internet, via a radio access network of multiple eNBs connected to the core network.

The Packet Data Network (PDN) type supported is both IPv4 and IPv6. In other words, the end-to-end connections between the UEs and the remote hosts can be IPv4 and IPv6. Also, the networks between the ON-EPC and eNBs can be IPv4 and IPv6.

  • Mobility Management Entity (MME) : includes support for S1-MME, S11, S6a, S10, S13, S3, SGs interfaces.
  • Serving Gateway (SGW) & Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW) : support for online and offline charging, static and dynamic QoS, default and dedicated bearers, and SGi interface.
  • Home Subscriber Server (HSS) : includes subscriber repository along with support for subscriber authentication
  • olicy & Charging Rules Function (PCRF) : Passists in real time to determine policy rules in a multimedia network
  • Multicast Coordination Entity (MCE) : supports allocating wireless resources to base stations (eNB) that participated in MBMS transmission.
  • Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) GW : supports traffic service as a multicast to base stations that participate in MBMS transmission of data received from BMSC.
  • Broadcast Multicast Service Center (BMSC) : BMSC generates, modifies, and deletes MBMS sessions and sends the service announcement meta data and MBMS traffic data to the UE
